On 14 September 2021 the Council of Ministers adopted a regulation on the minimum wage for work in force in the next year. It will amount to PLN 3010 gross from 1 January 2022.
The Ministry of Family and Social Policy has announced that the Council of Ministers has adopted a regulation on the minimum wage and the minimum hourly rate to be in force next year.
According to the regulation, the minimum wage for work in 2022 will amount to PLN 3010 gross and the minimum hourly rate will be PLN 19.70.
The minimum gross wage next year will constitute 50.8 per cent of the projected average wage in the national economy for 2022 and will be higher by 7.5 per cent. (by PLN 210) from the minimum wage in 2021 (2800 PLN gross).
The minimum gross hourly rate for certain civil law contracts will increase in 2022 to PLN 19.70, meaning a rise by PLN 1.40 compared to 2021 (PLN 18.30 gross).

The increase in the minimum wage and the minimum hourly rate will cover more than 2.2 million people.
It should be noted that the original government draft provided for an increase in the minimum wage to PLN 3 000 and the hourly rate to an amount of PLN 19.60. However, the Dialogue Council failed to reach a consensus within the set deadline, so in accordance with the regulations, the government took the final decision on this issue.
The regulation will enter into force on 1 January 2022.
